Year-End Report To Donors

Friends,

With the end of the year now in sight, we encourage you to watch your mailboxes in the coming days for our year-end update. Unfortunately, printing delays and slower mail handling have impacted the delivery of this important update to you. With that in mind, we encourage you to:

Without you, there would be no Re-Member. On behalf of the Oglala Lakota community we serve, thank you for your support.

YOU are Re-Member

Challenges and opportunities. The past two years have brought plenty of both as we continue to adapt to our COVID-modified world. With generous support from donors near and far, we have maintained our twenty-plus year presence in service to the Pine Ridge Reservation community. Despite volatile lumber and commodity prices, a serious drought here in western South Dakota, and another year of being closed to visitors, we have continued to respond to immediate needs, provide services, and plan for the future of Re-Member.

In addition to the impressive statistics from this year’s construction projects and winter heating program, our garden program provided more than 75 individuals with fresh, local produce during the 2021 growing season. We are excited to continue to grow this project, and invite you to learn more about our future plans at “Feather II.”

Looking ahead to 2022, we are optimistic that conditions will allow us to welcome volunteers back to Pine Ridge. The safety of our volunteers, and the peace of mind and good health of Pine Ridge residents remains our top priority. Please visit our website to learn more about our plans, and to book your trip today.

Challenges and opportunities. We have endured and embraced both this year. With a dedicated staff, passionate volunteers and generous supporters across the country and around the world, Re-Member’s best days are still yet to come.
