Offering Hands and Hearts Alongside Fellow Volunteers
Our leadership team supports and guides the work of Re-Member by bringing diverse professional experience and expertise from the financial, legal, nonprofit, academic and business sectors to the board of Directors.
Their vision, personal financial support and business acumen help set the strategic direction and priorities for the organization as they work closely with Re-Member’s Executive Director, Cory True, who manages day to day operations on site at Pine Ridge.
Our Board members are committed to visiting Re-Member at least once a year, offering their hands and hearts alongside fellow volunteers.
Drew Masters, President
Drew started volunteering at Re-Member in 2015, joined the board in 2017, and currently serves as board president.
Drew has made service work a big part of his life and has a wide range of experience in several service organizations. He is very deliberate about his time and brings a strong commitment to making a lasting and deep impact for Re-Member, and its service to the Lakota.
Drew has degrees in biology, real estate, and is LEED AP certified in green building. He is currently a semi-retired home inspector, commercial real estate consultant, and tax preparer in Overland Park, Kansas.
Nicole Hultgren, Vice President
Nicole started volunteering at Re-Member in 2006 and joined the board in 2007. She is currently serving as vice president of the board and chair of the development committee.
Nicole’s background is in education and communications. She has lived in France, Germany, and England, and speaks several languages. She has extensive networking and public speaking capabilities and her enthusiastic, outgoing personality make her a great leader for Re-Member.
Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and French, a master’s degree in education in instructional technology and design, and currently resides in Minneapolis, MN.
Dan Peters, Treasurer
Dan first volunteered at Re-Member in 2018 and joined the board in 2020. Dan is currently our treasurer and works closely with the executive director and director of finance and grants to keep Re-Member’s finances in order. Dan also works on the development committee and the Feather II committee.
A passionate servant leader, Dan spends much of his time volunteering for worthy organizations. In his spare time, you’ll usually find him on the water with a fishing rod in his hand.
Dan holds degrees in Biology and Dentistry and is currently semi-retired. He resides in Grand Rapids, MI.
Dianne Roberts, Secretary
Dianne has been a Re-Member volunteer since 2001 when she and her youth group were invited to participate in bed bunk building on the Pine Ridge Reservation by Keith and Ginny Titus. It was love at first sight and she joined the board in 2003, and has continued to serve as the board secretary and also a member of the personnel committee.
Dianne works with other members of the board and staff to maintain Re-Member’s records and stay on top of human resource Issues. She tries makes several trips to Re-Member each year to participate with staff and volunteers and to provide hands-on assistance and support for Re-Member staff. Dianne is a passionate, hard-working, self-starter and a great motivator for the organization.
She is a retired legal administrator for a large Michigan law firm and currently works part-time as the director of parish care at one of the largest social justice churches in Kalamazoo, Michigan where they are working to make a positive difference to the marginalized locally, nationally, and globally. She also volunteers and serves on various committees and as the secretary for the national office of the board of directors of her denomination.
Doug Greene
Doug started volunteering at Re-Member in 2015, joined the board in 2017, and is the board’s immediate past president.
Doug is an experienced nonprofit director who is devoted to justice, teamwork, and fundraising in support of the Lakota people.
Based in New York, Doug is a lawyer who leads a national practice group that defends and advises public company directors and officers in securities and corporate governance matters around the U.S.
Bryan McClure
Bryan started volunteering at Re-Member in 2003, joined the staff in 2009, and joined the board in 2017. Bryan worked full-time at Re-Member for six years, called Pine Ridge home for four years, and continues to have a deep passion for and understanding of the Oyate in the area as well as Re-Member's goals in the community.
Bryan has built and maintained many relationships and connections to people and organizations in and around Pine Ridge that will make working alongside the Lakota people more effective.
Bryan currently resides in Great Falls, MT where he passes his time and pays the bills as a Flight Paramedic for Benefis Mercy Flight (providing emergency response to four reservations in Northcentral Montana), enjoys private aviation as a hobby and regularly partakes in the riches of Montana's outdoor opportunities.
Kenyon Morgan
Ken started volunteering at Re-Member in 2016, joined the board in 2017, and currently serves on the development and personnel committees. He is deeply grateful for the opportunity to understand the needs of the Lakota people and to build relationships. He respects their resilience, the wisdom of the elders, and their hopes for the young people.
Ken has a bachelor's degree in music and a master's degree in psychology. He served as a consultant for over 300 organizations, specializing in team building, conflict resolution, and change management. He was also a psychotherapist and relapse prevention specialist.
Ken has been a professional musician since age 14, performing with ensembles ranging from jazz groups to symphony orchestras. To that end, Ken is also the cofounder of the Pine Ridge Flute Society with Will Peters, teacher of the Red Way, at Pine Ridge High School. Ken is also very active in efforts to protect the environment.
Ken resides, with his wife, Christine, in Michigan and Arizona. He looks forward to spending more time on the Pine Ridge Reservation and to encouraging organizations in Michigan and Arizona to grow their support for Re-Member.
Greg Slenk
Greg started volunteering at Re-Member in 2000, joined the board in 2000, and currently serves on the finance committee. He also works as a member of the Feather II task force, which is planning and fundraising for Re-Member’s new property.
Greg helped design and build Re-Member’s facilities on our current site and his expertise is instrumental to our transition onto Feather II.
Greg holds degrees in geology, education, and coaching. He is currently the Owner and Manager of Overisel Lumber and hardware stores in Michigan.
